It is now that time of year when we announce the winners of Community Foundation Scholarships.
One of the first and most difficult selections of the year is choosing the winners of the Minnesota Power Community Involvement Scholarship. This great award, sponsored every year by Minnesota Power, rewards 25 area students for their hard work and devotion to their local communities. It recognizes the contributions these great kids make through volunteering, activism and just 'helping out'.
Minnesota Power celebrates these students with an advertisement in the local paper. Below is a shot of that ad, first published in yesterday's Duluth News Tribune. It was originally a big ad, but shrunk down to fit the website, it hard to make out the faces and the names.
